I tried to buy a chicken and cow from a shop running out of someone's backyard and living room. The actual-child (kitten) running the store yelled at me for daring to expect a store to allow me to purchase more than one good per day. Then he called me stinky and told me off. 10/10.

If you like running around in circles and get all dizzy trying to find where to go, By all means get this game. There’s no tracking in the map, no direction. Get crystals ok cool WHERE? Find this villager? Alright but WHERE?! I have spent all this time just walking in circles getting nowhere and getting absolutely nothing accomplished. Why games like this one don’t have map tracking for places and villagers who knows. Stamina is gone faster than you can get berries to replenish. I like cozy relaxing, this is cozy frustrating to play. My advise to developers is go take a look at hello kitty island , and maybe bring us some good tracking. I’m done getting headaches and all dizzy over this game.
This game is like if Elden Ring and Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing were a thrupple, but then Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley realized that Elden Ring was toxic (what's with all the incest?!) so they kicked Elden Ring out of the house and decided to be a cozy couple instead and lived happily ever after.
it is a very cute game and some of the characters are charming, but it also feels a tad under-baked for a 20 dollar game.
The overall issue is that the game feels less like an animal-crossing like game and more like a collecting stuff simulator.
I feel like what would really improve the game is more focus on the npc characters and their daily lives. Currently the npcs teleport to places they need to go, and they don't have much story beyond their purpose of being shopkeepers.

Snacko is a hidden gem of a video game that is undoubtedly a passionate labour of love in every single detail of it.
Somehow this game wasn't on my radar for it's entire early access period, and those many years I missed out on Snacko shall remain a regret that I take to my grave.
This game is a masterpiece. Flat out.
Snacko is the definition of a hidden-gem. I bought it for my wife, as she loves Stardew (don't we all) and now I haven't seen her in four days. She's putting in 8 hour shifts of Snacko and loving it. I've been playing it when I can (once she goes to bed lmao) and also having a blast. We are obsessed. If you enjoy Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, games of that style; cozy, farming/life-sims, then you will adore Snacko. The best thing about it though, is how much depth it brings to the genre, it isn't just a clone of those games; it is brimming with many new, fresh ideas. The quest system is staggeringly impressive; you constantly have so much to do, and it's all enjoyable, the building is unlike any other game I've played and very interesting, the mining is also super unique, just the start of so many praises that I could sing for this game. Honestly it is fantastic, and if you enjoy a farming game, please give it a chance, you will not be disappointed.
Also, unrelated to the review, but as far as I can tell Snacko is made by two developers (wow) out of Edmonton Alberta, just an hour and change drive from my own home, and it brings me great Canadian pride to see a game of this quality come from our homeland. o7

Nah, Snacko is like if coziness became a sentient being and hand-knitted you a blanket while serving you hot cocoa. The farming? Perfect. The building? Immaculate. The cats? 🐱 CHEF'S KISS. Every time I boot up Snacko, I feel my soul ascend to a realm of pure serotonin. Honestly, I’d trade my firstborn child just to play Snacko forever. 11/10, would lose my job and ruin my life for this masterpiece.
I’m an animal lover but not a huge fan of playing as an animal in games… this game won me over. From the nostalgic graphics, great music and funny dialogue. This game has sooo much to offer and it’s only early access. I woke up today excited to play.
