IdleOn is the closest thing to my ex-girlfriend -Apparently I turn it on once in awhile -Its always asking for another bag -Its always fighting but I'm never here -No matter how much I change my character, I feel like i'm making no progress -Demands are becoming more time consuming and costly -Once in a blue moon it'll give me something nice -I literally have to deal with the biggest piece of shit on a daily basis -It has problems but I just man up and deal with it -Despite how much time I've invested in it, I probably spent like $20 max Worst part is that every other person that talks about it, says it's the most fun they've had

This game is addictive, but not in a good way -- I don't enjoy it but can't stop picking it up. Would advise against playing.

UPDATE 3 (follower patch): Installed the game to see if things have changed. Next day, the new patch drops with 350 dollars of p2w to get some of the most broken benefits in the game with a new currency that costs real money and no way to grind in game. He did not fix the 2.1B integer limit that I complained about over a year ago, rather he capped it at 1.05 bil which is laughable since I could easily hit 1B over a year ago before the W5 power creep. Capping the number go up dopamine in an incremental game is a sin. Additionally, I encountered a neat bug where random parts of the screen were opening a link to his twitch channel. So yea, my review has not changed. Lava still being lava. I noticed he deleted a criticism thread of the new patch on Reddit already. Classic. I love this game and will probably always love it, but it feels like I am Johnny Depp dealing with Amber Heard when playing it sometimes. The Good <*>Game has good systems to progress with. <*>Being able to control multiple characters without actively grinding them all is cool. <*>Resource management and hoarding billions of items makes you feel rich and powerful. <*>Interesting and quirky monsters. <*>Artwork looks great if you enjoy pixel art. <*>Always a goal to strive for. <*>A lot of different systems to min-max. <*>Choices you make can heavily impact how well or fast you progress. <*>Smooth leveling process <*>Most systems have no caps. Endless character levels. <*>Loot explosions from collecting your "afk gains." <*>Decent jokes through the quests. <*>Community is nice and helpful for the most part. The Bad <*>Every world increases the amount of gems you must spend to stay competitive. The latest world gave as much as 20x the character power for spending money on gems. <*>In-game currency acquisition is consistently getting nerfed. An example would be the KIng Doot mini-boss. The boss has gone from 72 gems possible to 19 gems to now 9 gems per kill. That is a massive nerf. <*>The dev keeps adding more and more gem shop purchases each patch despite nerfing the rates of obtaining the currency. <*>The dev has laid out the current patches to be QOL and Bug-fix focused, but ignores the most crippling bugs that plague the game. <*>A lot of his "QOL" ends up being nerfs with a pretty paint coat. <*>in Patch v.156 his dungeon "QOL" was some party find features such as invite others and find group. These features essentially broke trying to find a party and now no one can find a group when it was already difficult before. The dev just keeps on trucking and talks about making adding more to dungeon 1 when his other dungeons and party features are broken. <*>Endgame players are constantly getting nerfed in damage and progression. <*>Endgame players that discover an oversight and use it are threatened with bans because of the developers mistakes. <*>Old bugs are not being fixed like mobile overflow (when your materials or money hit 2.1B you just lose them on mobile). <*>The game white screens if you are performing actions that require a lot of input (people in the community have a solution for this, but the dev refuses to listen). <*>The community has a lot of smart and talented programmers that have solutions for a lot of the games problems but the developer will not take the help and frustrating problems just continue to exist. <*>A lot of the issues stem from the developer's ego and his refusal to listen to the people that are playing his game. <*>His responses to criticism can be emotionally charged at times. Last month he went on a banning rampage in the discord over people that had negative criticism towards the game (as noted by the other top review). <*>The latest patch was hyped up as nightmare versions of the games bosses, but turned out to be a flop because you make more in-game currency by doing the easiest bosses. The developers response to negative criticism was, "ok then dont farm nightmares dude" and "if youd like i can remove all gems and make that mroe clear." <*>Normal bosses drop 1 gem each, which is a great way to farm up gems for F2P players. However the new nightmare bosses take up 30,40, and 50 keys respectively but still only give 1 gem each. This means F2P players have to give up 29,39, and 49 gems per nightmare try for a 1/1000 drop rate of a cosmetic item. (Gems are the in game store currency). The Ugly <*>Players and mods are banned on the discord for petty reasons. <*>The dev reprimanded staff he personally hired for fixing situations he caused and in his lack of transparency with his own team decides to punish his long time staff with an immediate ban without hesitation. <*>Any form of negative criticism is deemed toxic by the dev and makes you worthy of banning. <*>Dev has a history of censoring people whenever he can. He will take down YouTube vids because he feels they take away from his own channel, he will make you change your name if you are an Idleon content creator the name is related to his game, and he will ban you if you mention certain people that he doesn't like. <*>I was banned without warning after being a member with over 10,000 posts over a year without a reason listed. I assume I was deemed as "toxic." <*>The dev banned several active and long time users over an April fool's joke spoil. Only one has been unbanned. <*>The dev criticized my feedback in Discord by saying, "so do the last 1.5 years of your enjoyment mean nothing to you?" As if the game can't degrade or my feelings change over that time frame. <*>The dev adds things to the game because he wants to, not because the game needs it. He will spend an entire day streaming him drawing frogs for the first dungeon, when the dungeons have bugs and the party system is broken. His stream on 5/8/2022 had him explicitly say he does things because he wants to. <*>You must join the discord to be competitive. You will not be able to "exploit" his oversights without the help of the community that does the code digging. Many of his oversights are bugs that go on for months and give massive advantage to those that are adamant about staying ahead. You must be part of the discord to even know what is an exploit and what is deemed ok by the dev. <*>The developer's communication is poor. He has no community manager and doesn't address the communities concern. His version of addressing concern is by adding things no one asked for and saying people wanted it. He has put out two game polls since the latest world release based on what the community wants, and nothing in those polls have been addressed in 2 months. The only thing that was addressed were an issue with players auto clicking a new feature. His solution was to just hard cap clicks and screw those that didn't exploit early. <*>Cheaters are free to roam the game and can even unban themselves. I suggest to those that get invested into their games to proceed with caution if you still want to try this game.

After putting in a few hours I'd say its an okay game. Might have to sink a few more hours in to the game to really give y'all a detailed review.

I've played the game for a while and at this point i can clearly saw that this isn't a game i would recommend to people. the game it's self is ok at best, but the issue lies in the dev of this game as he is willing to screw over people's progress because he feels that they either progress too fast, they do something he doesn't like, or just because. This is sadly common behavior from him as he deletes any negative comments about the game (in his eyes) and constantly bans people in the discord, leaving this to be the only place to write a review that he can't hide. He also tends to shadow nerf a lot of things without telling players. recently he has made the decision to waste people's time again. he will be converting people's dragon statue level into villager statue levels, which means that to him, you never farmed them in the first place. This takes away from the time that people have spent in this game, showing that he doesn't care about how he makes people feel. If you ever read this lava, do better, for the sake of everyone

Developer has zero respect for the community he has backing him. (The majority of my playtime is on the mobile version of this game) Let me start by saying this game is good. The pacing in the early game is fantastic and the sense of progression is paced very well with new weapons and armours to unlock as well as various upgrade systems to help your account progression. There is a lot to do and you will get to play all of the classes as you unlock more character slots (core to the game). Unlocking new worlds once again open up new doors for account progression and more interesting upgrade systems and crafting unlocks. As well as solo progression in the worlds, there are also party dungeons and mini bosses which have you cooperating with other players. Quests are pretty solid and character dialogue is interesting and self aware making for quest text you actually want to read instead if breezing through to get the task. The main reason I cannot recommend this game though is that the main MMO aspect isn't really within the game and the bulk of the community is found within the discord. The developer posts regularly to keep players informed of what is on the cards in future updates and the current state of the game. A recent April Fools event which happened within the discord resulted in several long time members and players being banned simply for participating and branded as "trolls" for unbeknownst reasons. I myself was included in this ban wave and am still a little disoriented about the situation. It sucks because I actually like this game and the developer and want them to succeed, yet banning long term members of your community and ousting them simply because they dared to even mention said event is awful. Now the community is on edge and threatened with bans if they even mention this incident but fan boys of this developer will defend him to their dying breath. This game is good but is held back by questionable decisions from the developer in regards to his community and distain for constructive criticisms. Play this game if you will but stay away from the discord which sucks considering it's where you will actually be able to interact with this games community.

Before I played IdleOn - The Idle MMO i had a small wee wee, no friends, no girlfriend and absolutely no will to live. None of these things have changed, but the game is pretty good.

DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME. THE DEV IS EXTREMELY MENTALLY UNSTABLE. EDIT 2: Okay so just a heads up. The Dev (LavaFlame2) is extremely extremely fragile and if you leave a bad review and finds out who you are he will ban you on everything he possibly can and all your friends. After i spoke to him on discord he then blocked me. Banned me from the discord and sub Reddit and then banned all of my guild members. He took this review very personally and now attacked me and my friends because i gave my honest thoughts about the game and how i feel about it in its current state. Dev has been late with every single update he has ever released is usually on holiday not actually working on developing the game unfortunately. Make sure not to spend money on the game as odds are he will be giving up developing this game very soon (just like his last games he has done the exact same thing with). EDIT: Spoke to the Dev and he cleared up that a lot of the things he says on stream are usually just a joke and not to be taken seriously. I understand he is pretty busy and cant always be around to fix things everyone wants on command. The game isn't fully released so you should expect there to be balancing issues and bugs. If you don't want stuff like this then I would recommend to get the game on release. Dev is extremely passionate about the game and I have no doubt he wants only the best for the game. Wrote this review for a bit of a joke at the time but also had some genuine criticism about the game as I really enjoy the game and only want the best for it :) I've played this game since release and my highest level is level 106 and run one of the top 10 guilds but I cant recommend anyone to play this game due to how little balance and thought goes into new content and how it effects current content. The art style is great. The community is great. The whole idea of the game is great. However, certain parts of the game just make it so hard to want to keep playing and get excited to keep playing. Every time I watch one of Lava Flame 2's (The Dev) streams it just makes me want to stop playing more and more. The main issue is HE DOESN'T PLAY HIS OWN GAME. Every single live stream Lava does, he finds out 40+ new things he had absolutely no idea where actually in the game and at least 50+ bugs he is clueless about. He does quests live on stream and only THEN realizes how hard/impossible it actually is (Cattleprod's questline for example, literally impossible for most classes). This doesn't include the endless stream of bugs and issues people are bringing up in the chat. He's said on stream many times how he thinks his own game is boring and how he doesn't play it and doesn't know how people can play it. He's said he doesn't actually play the game... He doesn't know Skill AFK gains is OP (he doesn't play his own game). He doesn't know Time Candies progress anvil production (he doesn't play his own game). He doesn't know there are major bugs to do with login pop ups not showing and talent points going into negatives (he doesn't play his own game). He doesn't know that Barbs are crazy under powered late game due to Zow but then he nerfs them because they're good early (he doesn't play his own game). He doesn't know archers are terrible for bossing (he doesn't play his own game). He doesn't know how bad the storage situation ACTUALLY is (he doesn't play his own game). He doesn't know 95% of the quest lines (he doesn't play his own game). He doesn't know how hard it is to craft certain items (he doesn't play his own game). And the main one that's driving me and many other late game players far away from this game is POST OFFICE (he doesn't play his own game). He genuinely must have no idea how bad it is... I will say, most major bugs seem to get sorted and I don't see a big cheating problem and not many game breaking bugs which is always a positive. In his Lavas most recent stream he announced the Refinery. He said its going to be the ONLY thing that will be in the game that will require a constant amount of resources as there isnt anything currently in the game that does that. POST OFFICE IS EXACTLY THIS. I get deliveries where i need to hand in 3 T4 weapons, hand in 100k of 1 item and Plat tools... These all take multiple days with multiple characters all working on it to complete. Its impossible to do any other kinds of content while trying to keep your streak, cant push my alchemy, cant save for future patches, the entire game is just Post Office.. !!! Literally as im writing this Lava just announced hes making Post Office scale off streaks which is kinda what it needed !!! Play the game, see what its about but I cant recommend people to play for a long time if the creator isn't even playing the game. Lava play your game. Get some thorough player testers. Get multiple opinions on things before they go live. Consider how new content effects existing content. Thanks
