Getting right to the point Concubine is a She Will Punish Them clone in nearly every way. You level up your harem, you have your harem fight, you equip them with loot drops and invest points to make them stronger, glorified olgling/dressup and photo titty poser. I had to do some research before hand to make sure that the devs for Concubine weren't the disgraced L2 Games re-skinning themselves. Fortunely that is not the case.
I started trying out Concubine with the demo that was put out, the demo was more of a tech demo and in very rough shape. Giving the game the benefit of the doubt, I tried the EA access, which was still in very rough shape. Its evident that Concubine is in a very EA state with a long road ahead of it. The combat was extremely clunky and arduous. Just trying to make it through the first fight of a few guys seemed like it was overly-punishing than it should of been. When you set your target lock on an enemy and proceed to fight, your target lock is jumping around enemies like an antelope in mating season - its all over the place! Mytarget lock was moving around so much, I was getting motion sickness during the fight. Before long I found myself lost where I was and I would be overwhelmed and get killed by the enemies. In the realm of the combat, dodging is horrendous too. When enemies detect you, they don't take their sweet time in making their way over to you - they mob you and surround you. When you try to purposefully pull 1 or 2 enemies at a time, pulled enemies will somehow trigger their friends and they will trudge over to you like overzealous teenagers seeing naked girls for the first time. When you try to dodge away from a mob you will get hung up on enemies and once they all collectively swing together you are screwed for staying alive.
After dying and being transported back to your base, evaluate your loot and try again right? Nope - forget that! If you die, you lose the drops you fought so hard for. You are reverted back to the state in which you were right before you launched into the fight. So how are you supposed to get a leg up when you are getting your ass handed to you? That mechanic is something that doesn't sit well with me. If you want a hardcore togglable setting for your player base, then by all means make that available, but dont punish other players for it.
Concubine in it's current state is a pass for me, at least for now. I would let this one bake much longer before delving in.

Expected a waifu simulator with photo mode, but the game has some serious combat. Even hard at some points. Once you open the map and start free roaming, it starts to flow. Hard to believe this is an indie game, the character creator, level design, ambiance and lightning are fantastic. Roadmap shows even more improvements are on the way. I want some rescue missions, hope they add a lot of them.

I didn’t expect to like it this much. The character creator is deep; you can spend ages tuning your look. Companions look good, and photo mode is fun. Bonus point for art director, still hasn't seen a game in the old 'far est of dunes, sand and magic' team has a good working line of updates that will came quickly
Combat starts simple and will be better in next update when you will be able to unlock skills. For now is barebenoes, mainly because Enemy AI and companions need work—enemies can be exploited for farms and partners sometimes ignore orders or block your aim.
Sadly Early Access bugs are real. Camps repeat with level scaling, the bow for now is too powerful in the early levels, and the camera or movement can freeze. The quest system isn’t there yet and there isn’t much to spend gold or gems on.
Bottom line: the art, mood, and build options are strong. If you enjoy dressing up characters and taking screenshots, there’s fun now. If you want clear quests, smarter AI, varied camps, and a working economy, wait for more updates.

This game is the definition of a gem in the rough. It needs a lot of polish and work and there's also quite a bit of jankiness. However, what's already there in the game is quite fun if you're willing to be patient with it.

The character designs are definitely one of the highlights here. They’re sexy, stylish, and fit perfectly with the game’s tone. I like that it doesn’t just rely on looks — there’s actual atmosphere and personality behind it. A bit more polish on movement and expressions would make them even better.

Concubine has a lot of style and some great ideas. The combat is fun , and I love how much freedom you get in customizing your character and base. It’s one of those games that clearly has a big vision behind it.
But it’s not quite there yet. Some things feel unfinished — like the AI behavior. Still, I enjoyed my time with it and I’m curious to see where it goes next.

In addition to the excellent character creation,
photo mode, and free pose mode (which of course are the first to be noticed in the trailers),
the game offers truly excellent gameplay mechanics.
Some challenging battles and a good loot system ensure an exciting and tactical loop.
The game is a true gem, and I'm excited for the further development in Early Access!

Concubine is one of those games where you start off trying to be serious — fighting, upgrading, exploring — and then suddenly you’re just posing your character for screenshots like it’s a fashion show. The combat’s fun enough once you get used to it, and the atmosphere is actually pretty cool.

Items cost too much gold, especially Health Potions. Items sell for only half of what they claim to be worth, which is incredibly annoying. Enemies do far too much damage, at least in the early game. The bow is your best friend. Try not to miss-click your potions because they're far too expensive to waste. Stash box can hold far too few items. What is the point of a doll-dress up game if you can't stash enough clothes? Then you tack on weapons and spare potions to go with it...... Nowhere near enough stash box space. I couldn't find an option to even purchase more space like most RPGs have nowadays. I encountered bugs which hindered my view during crucial moments in battle. The game kept wanting to swap between my controller and M+K too frequently. The game has potential, but EA needs a lot of work. I wouldn't suggest purchasing it at this time.

Didn’t expect to enjoy it this much honestly. The character customization is insane you can literally spend an hour just trying to get your character’s look right. Companions look great too, and posing with them in photo mode is super fun.
Combat feels good overall. It starts simple but gets more satisfying as you unlock new weapons and abilities. Enemy AI still needs a bit of tweaking, sometimes they just stand around or rush too much, but that’s fine for early access.
Visually the game is beautiful. The lighting, the outfits, the atmosphere everything fits that dark fantasy vibe perfectly. The Istanbul-inspired areas are a nice surprise too.
Would love to see some furniture interactions and maybe a proper skill tree in the future, but even now, it’s already a fun and unique experience. If you liked SWPT, you’ll probably enjoy this one even more.

Rescuing the companion girls and fighting alongside them is fun. Equipping them with armor and swords is a great idea, and helping them grow has also helped me bond with them. However, in some situations, they die too early, and I can’t get the result I want. So, I give them bows and arrows to keep them fighting from a distance and stay by my side.

I've been following this game and dev team for a while now. Played the tech demo, closed test, public test and Steam demo. Pretty familiar with the game so I am writing an early review to support the devs. Solid fan service game with old school action. Building a concubine team is a lot of fun. Expect to die. Bring a bow and a lot of potions.
She Will Punish Them players will like it. I do. Early Access is probably a 8/10 but I'm betting the devs can reach a 9/10 with their roadmap.

Concubine is a hack & slash ARPG that dives headfirst into sensual dark fantasy. You play as a deadly-yet-adorable concubine who serves as the Sultan’s personal assassin. From the start, you get to fully customize her appearance... and not just her, but up to three female companions who’ll join you in battle. The game rewards you with powerful weapons, mystical abilities, and yes, some seriously spicy outfits. It’s like playing She Will Punish them with a darker, steamier twist: seductive, stylish, and absolutely chaotic. And honestly? It totally works.
The character customization here is next-level. You can tweak every tiny detail of your concubine’s look, from her hairstyle to her body art, and the results are stunning. The female models are beautifully crafted, with smooth animations and a wide range of visual styles for weapons and armor. Whether you want your warrior to look elegant, fierce, or downright provocative, the game’s got you covered. The story is intriguing, but let’s be real! The combat and visual flair are the stars of the show. And yes, there’s nudity, which adds a cheeky layer of adult appeal for players who enjoy that kind of spice.
Gameplay is fast and satisfying. The Sultan gives you a mission, the map opens up, and you go full-on assassin mode. As you progress, you’ll rescue other concubines who become your allies, adding depth to your squad and more options for combat. You can go melee, ranged, or mix it up! Whatever suits your chaos-loving heart. Leveling up unlocks new skills and stat boosts, making each fight feel more intense and rewarding. The devs are super responsive to player feedback, which is always a good sign. Honestly, it’s hard not to get hooked. In addition to everything previously mentioned, the game includes a photo mode and a pose mode!
So! If you’re into ARPGs and don’t mind a bit (okay, a lot) of adult flair, Concubine is a wild ride worth taking. It’s got killer combat, gorgeous character design, and customization that’ll keep you tinkering for hours. It’s not for the faint of heart or the easily scandalized, but if you’re looking for something bold, sexy, and genuinely fun, this game delivers. What are you waiting for? Give it a go!
