Steam really should add something inbetween good and bad, yes and now. Because I can't recommend this game, but it is definitely not bad enough to qualify for a "No recommend". Since the negatives overweight for me however, I will review it this way anyway.
So let's start with the negatives:
The game itself is super short but not in a way where it delivers you a lot of joy in that short time but rather delivers a repetitive story you've heard somewhere else before and a not to interesting gameloop. And for that and the fact that everything is done in 2 hours and to 100% it for that last annoying achievement another almost 2 hours, 9€ is simply to expensive. I do love to pay for good indie games because they usually deliver joy for their price but here, 4-5€ definitely would have been a more fitting price.
About the gameplay itself. While the story telling is done in a good way, it so much is also done in a repetitive way and the menus are definitely to slow. Once done with the story part for each item, your job is to pixel perfect clean items. That really gets uninteresting after time, especially considering that there is only 2-4 tools available, that don't really have a deeper meaning. Sponge for big surface, toothbrush for small spaces and hard stains, fabric for glas and dust blower for all in one but needs to recharge. That just doenst ad a lot of variety to the game. No puzzeling on how to clean it, no things to discover. Basically just point and click till the game tells you you're done. And to take the last bit of disatisfaction out, the game wants you to pixel perfect clean almost everything, some pixels hidden behind buttons and more. And while that does ad somewhat of a 'Puzzle machanic' to the game, it really takes out some satisfaction, especially when the pixels are hidden behind different parts.
But now i made this game sound horrible. It isn't.
You can clearly tell that there was some love put into the design of the objects and as boring as it should feel, quite often its actually fun to clean the parts. Not as fun as for example "Pressure washing simulator" but unlike that game, this one offers a story with pretty art and a nice score in between.
So if this game is ever on sale and you are after a quick game for 2 hours with a somewhat touching story and just something to move your mouse for, this might be worth checking out.
If you're on the other hand after something worth your time and an unforgetable experience, pass on this one and instead check games out like "Assemble with care"

I absolutely loved this game. A visual novel style with satisfying cleaning elements and a really good story. One of two games to make me cry this year. I highly recommend this.
