Lust Academy - Season 4 is a visual novel with a magic and fantasy theme, which chronologically continues the events seen in Season 3 of the saga, where the protagonist attends a magical school, full of fantasy creatures with peculiar designs, as well as a large cast of secondary characters, most of which are parodies of famous characters from series or movies (harry potter, Merlina, etc.). This game offers you a quality experience that even surpasses its predecessor, with plenty of places to explore, objects to find, mini-games with the theme of the magical world that will help you immerse yourself in the mood that the game presents. In addition to all these elements, it also provides you with quality material for those nights of arduous gaming, with a wide variety of witches and hot creatures of different species, races, skin colors and breast sizes, to satisfy a wide variety of players tastes, all this through excellent renderings and very good sex scenes with: smooth animations, camera changes, close-ups, although with the drawback of not having voice acting.

📜 Story

The game has a linear beginning, continuing with the cliffhanger seen at the end of season 3, where the protagonist was caught by the “overlord” possessing Lily's body. Due to this situation the protagonist begins to take more in series how he is going to face the “overlord” training and recruiting allies, this at the same time he continues with his studies at the academy. Already in the academy, while the protagonist is fulfilling his tasks to prepare for the final confrontation with the Overlord, the plots of the previous installments are continued, such as the personal discovery of the succubus Audrey, the love stories with the harem of witches and magical creatures, as well as new ones like the wizard tournament or the arrival of a new mysterious teacher at the academy. It should be noted that although the game has different subplots, they are usually quite simple and always prioritize adult content, so the dialogues do not have much depth or offer a sublime reading experience.

Like its predecessors, this game has two playable modes, one would be the classic Visual novel gameplay, with a story on rails, with few choices and a minimum of exploration, and the other would be the Sandbox mode, which is more dynamic and free, allowing you to explore the locations of the school and the city, going through the events in the order you want, prioritizing the girl you like. In addition, this game mode has some exclusive features such as alternative outfits for the girls, certain mini-games such as duels, puzzles, finding objects, etc., but more importantly EXCLUSIVE sexual scenes!. so it is clear that in this release it is even more advisable to play this game mode if you really want to get all the available content. The gameplay of this “sandbox” mode is similar to that of other games of the same genre, having the typical system of character missions that you have to complete in order to progress in the story, and these missions are usually of the type where you have to go to a certain place at a certain time of day and talk to that character. In addition to these story events, the game also has repetitive events that you can do over and over again, with different outcomes depending on which option you choose, these can be skipped without affecting the flow of the story, but of course you will miss out on a lot of sexual content. The gameplay elements that differentiate this visual novel from others are the thematic mini-games, as you can have magic duels, which is a turn-based combat where you have to use 4 spells strategically, as they have different effects (possibility of paralyzing, burning, healing and doing more damage), also this mini-game of duels has an rpg system, as you can increase the damage of the spells by attending classes, or buying grimoires with a dwarf. Besides this mini-game (which is the most complex), there are other simpler ones, like solving puzzles on the PC to get an erotic picture of a mage generated by the AI, serving orders in the academy's cafeteria, and finding lost books to deliver them to the library and earn house points.

The game offers a total of 44 animated sex scenes with 25 different girls (LGBT+ content disabled), all of which maintain excellent graphic quality, with smooth animations and a variety of camera angles for better viewing, either to zoom in or to see another part of the girl's body in the sex scene. 💭Conclusion

In general, this fourth and last installment of the saga seems to me superior to the previous ones, because although the simple narrative remains the same, or that no new gameplay mechanics have been added to the sandbox mode, retake all that theme of wizardry, adding more magical creatures in addition to striking locations that manage to convey the feeling of being in the magical world or not just a normal university with "weird" girls. In addition to this, the number of sexual scenes in the game has increased considerably, with 82, which is the largest number in all the installments, and the quality of these has not diminished, so you can have satisfactory onanistic sessions on repeated occasions without problems. Without a doubt, whether you are a fan of the saga and its story, or if you are just looking for a visual novel with good graphics and decent sexual content, this installment does not disappoint and in my opinion is an insta-buy, even though it has not been released with a discount, because I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Honestly, it's just not that good. I liked season 1 and 2 but 3 was meh and now 4 really feels like a rehash of the first and second season content. I'm actually having trouble finding the enthusiasm to continue playing. Feels stale. Even the DLC doesn't offer anything "new" or interesting. I was disappointed in the conclusions of several stories that didn't end the way I wanted and even with LGBTQ turned off they pushed some homosexual content on me which I found frustrating, and worse...it really turned me off some of the love interests in the game which had been my favorites. I literally couldn't enjoy scenes with them after the game showed them that way....felt kinda like NTR which I find disgusting. Stick to the first two seasons and walk away. Update: It has now been several months since I wrote my original review and I still have no desire to "finish" the game. In fact, in retrospect I will probably avoid future games from this developer. There was just too much I didn't like about it and it felt like they were trying too hard to appeal to too many different target audiences to actually satisfy anyone. Feels like a compromise that didn't truly leave anyone thrilled and even the die hard fans were just less disappointed than others. Side note: Please don't EVER try putting a fruit, vegetable, or basically ANY food product into a woman's body! You could seriously injure her if a sharp stem cut her inside! Also, you have no idea what kinds of dirt, bacteria or heaven forbid pesticides might be on them....these kinds of infections could ruin her life! I hate when stories show stuff like this because people start having fantasies that are UNSAFE! There are plenty of safe toys out there that are designed for this and are much more fun!

Played from the beginning. I also feel like they dropped the ball. This game is just confusing. Did a bunch of people do the game separately? Because with the whiplash from the characters, it feels like the people who worked on this game don't really know th characters or the story from the beginning. The women you built relationships with seem icy, and then June comes out of of nowhere all buddy buddy when I talked to her once is LA3, didn't like her enough to bother, and never even did her story. It is so confusing. I don't have a relationship built with the is girl and she is telling me I am not as annoying as others... Then Adele's story is more about Lucy. It is a big deal when you feel like two of your favorite characters (that you put three games of time and effort into exploring) are just not themselves. Getting rid of June, Alice, Wendy, and Kayla and putting more into the already developed characters would have been a way better move. We don't need two salty succubi in the same story. Elijah's stories are a damn slog, and I am not even going to entertain it this time around. It is about time the guy was just in the background. There is no reward for going through his crap. Not even money. Losing minigames to have fun making money instead of just the cafe was rough. Then the weekend party scenes are the exact same as the last game. Couldn't even change those? I mean come on... just lazy. After writing this I am trying to decide if I even want to finish the game for the sake of it. I hope to hell we get a solid resolution... but I don't have high hopes. Also... DLC's for more than 50% of the game cost? Really? Are they as much content as the game itself (considering how much is just reused) because if not, then who cares?

Its As good or even better then the other 3

Well I did not get the game for free like the first reviewers did. I have been playing Lust Academy since the start. But Lust Academy Final is a huge disapointment, The story this time seem like its made in a hurry, and lots of the story dont make sence at all. Of course the girls looks great and all that. If i knew it was as bad as this I would end the story when Lust Academy 3 came out. So thanks to the development team for at least keeping me entertained on the first 3 games of Lust Academy. All the best for the future

Oh Bear in the Night....what happened? Season one and two? Absolute Gems. Could not have been more happy with the story and the scenes and characters. Everyone was someone you wanted to learn about, get closer too. But the final season just came crashing down on that. Clearly a rushed product, though i cant understand why? The fanbase wanted a great ending, and could have been ok with a little longer of wait. I cant recommend this game though. EVERYTHING about it is a downgrade. Stick with 1-3

I really enjoyed my time with this series. Getting the adult Potter itch scratched, and having magical inspired sexy fun and various ladies to pursue, was awesome. Audrey and Molly will always be my favourites, but variety is the spice of life, and boy oh boy did this series deliver! The last game does not let you down, some reviewers were complaining about lack of time with one lady, but I totally enjoyed the experience. Ending on a good vibe. So the last game 8.5/10 and score for the whole series 9.5/10. Thank you so much devs, can't wait for the next project.

I really enjoy this series. I haven't reached the ending, but I've been compelled to write a review due to one thing only. The change of language in the Final is absolutely awful. People who don't speak like moronic teenagers are now using words like "vibing" and other off-putting language that is clearly coming from AI. It's not good, and keep taking me out of the game due to this. I hope it gets corrected. I still recommend the game, a lot of effort and time clearly went into making it, and it's a fantastic series overall, but I'm just not "vibing" with the newer translations.

The final chapter. I've enjoyed this entire series. The art and animation is top notch from Bear in the Night. The scenes and flavors are varied. I especially liked that they included MFM scene, which is avoided by most adult game creators. Play the entire series, you won't be disappointed.

what a dissapointing final to a marvellours series. low quality ending, selling the game's "complete" edition without complete dlcs and half of the gallery is same with the previous games. not planing to put money on future projects, devs really dissapointed the fans.

The later stages of the game show increasingly obvious signs of rushed development, with many characters introduced earlier never appearing again.To be honest, the moment the second installment suddenly introduced so many new characters, I knew the game's ending was bound to be hastily wrapped up.

Spoiler warning: This review contains uncensored spoilers for this game and others in the series throughout. For those wanting to avoid spoilers, though, everything above the first heading is spoiler-free. Never, in a million years, did I think this was how my review of this series was going to go. This is an ambitious work by an ambitious and clearly talented developer, and it deserves to be praised for its successes. With some exceptions, the game is visually excellent. Some features, like the combat and inventory systems, are executed better than in any other AVN I’ve played. The lore is phenomenal; as a fan of quality world-building, there were moments that left me absolutely giddy with excitement. But after putting in well over a hundred hours of playtime across four games, two years, and multiple playthroughs, when it comes to the finale, I don’t think they managed to stick the landing. For this reason, I’m taking the unconventional step here of rating the game fairly highly, but giving it a negative recommendation. For all its strengths and high points, when I finished the game and sat back in my chair, it was clear to me that the time I had invested wasn’t worth it for the ending that I got.

The Ending

I’m going to focus mainly on the ending, because that’s where everything fell apart for me. Very few series in this genre span three separate games. This one spans four. I think that’s about the limit for me—the point at which I’m ready for closure, for all the loose ends to be tied up and resolved. Due in large part to playing the second season with Sandbox mode off (a huge mistake, in hindsight), I’ve racked up, in total, 132 hours in this series over two playthroughs. So it made me genuinely angry when I discovered that this series not only ends quite abruptly, but does so without wrapping up much of anything at all. I leaned hard into building my spell skills in seasons 3 and 4, expecting that they would be used in the final fight. They weren’t. You fight and kill one grunt early on, but otherwise the last hour or so plays out as a cutscene. For those unfamiliar, leveling your spells requires a lot of repetitive grinding through QTEs. Needless to say, I was incredibly disappointed to find that, in the end, all of that effort was for naught. I chose Dakota as my love interest this time around, after choosing Haley in my first playthrough (which consisted of only seasons 1–3). I finished Dakota’s story missions prior to starting the finale—I figured it would matter for the ending. It didn’t. Dakota leaves. No, literally—you finish her story, and she leaves. She graduates, gives up magic to write her book, and that’s it. There’s no relationship outcome; she plays no role in the finale; there’s not even a “where are they now?” type montage showing where the characters end up. When Dakota stops by your hospital bed after the final fight, she does so in a group with Haley and Eli and utters a generic, milquetoast platitude about how she “hates to see him like this,” a line that conveniently works regardless of your story decisions. Frankly, I’m stunned. After four seasons, I figured there would at least be something. They had such a long run-up, so much time to plan outcomes for each of the characters… and it seems to me that they just didn’t. I actually laughed in disbelief when Arthur came by to share the “good news”: as a reward for defeating the Overlord and saving the wizarding world, the Ministry of Magic has offered you an internship! You know, once they’re done grafting all your skin back on, of course. Now, as I said at the top, there are things to like here. Things that push the genre forward. Things that should be encouraged and imitated by other developers. But while I would like to say that I could be completely objective and evaluate all parts of this game equally, I just can’t. The ending left such a bad taste in my mouth that it overshadowed the positive experience I had leading up to it. It’s clearly meant to be a bridge to a new, as-yet-unannounced series, but that’s not what I signed up for. That’s not what “Final” means.

Addendum: AI and Writing

I really don’t want to get into the business of policing the use of AI in AVNs, but that’s where we’re at now, so let’s get to it. I am almost certain that the prologue for this season was written by a large language model, or at the very least, heavily edited by one. While there’s always the chance that I’m wrong, I feel that I’ve played this series for enough time now to have an instinctive sense for its writing style. And to me, this game’s prologue sticks out like a sore thumb, in addition to bearing many of the hallmarks of LLM output. The prologue is the only part of the game that makes me feel this way, but that’s as baffling as it is extenuating. Why only that part? Did I miss signs of AI use elsewhere? Especially for visual novels, where the writing is a core part of the work—I think this is potentially compromising on both an artistic level and an ethical one. When players can no longer trust that their games are made by humans, it becomes an optics problem not just for those specific games, but for the genre itself. It cheapens the craft, it lowers player standards, and it paves the way for opportunistic cash grabs.

Conclusion

That brings us to the rating. This review is significantly less polished than many of the others that I’ve written, in part because I was so torn about my time with this game that I sat on my notes for over three weeks, debating how to properly put my thoughts into writing. I wrote an entire section about continuity issues between seasons which I’ve left out because, incredibly, I’m already hitting Steam’s character limit. In any case, at this point, almost a month after playing, I’m ready to move on, so I’m publishing what I have. In some ways, maybe this review is an uncanny reflection of the game that made it—something long in the making that, despite fanfare and great effort, fails to deliver a satisfying conclusion. A disappointed, frustrated, and deeply conflicted 7/10.

Good ending for a good series. You really get to explore all the characters this time, no one got left behind, the mechanics of the game are the same as usual from the previous titles but that's not a bad thing. The weakest part of the previous seasons was the prologue which were kinda boring, they really fixed that this season, great prologue this time. The new characters are pretty great as well.

Super fun ending to the series. Jumps right into the action, looks great and still has that good mix of story and spicy stuff. Sandbox mode's a nice bonus too. Perfect ending

Its the first AVN franchise (more than 2 games) that I completed. I gotta say the renders are great and most girls got better through the seasons. The story is fun and harem element is one of the best in the genre. The sandbox mode have a good balance between grind and missions, but some mechanics were clearly abandoned after Season 2. Some repeated scenes, added in previous seasons, can bother some players (not me, I like to rewatch). The only aspect that I think the devs lost track of it was the number of girls. I love variety, but, when I went to the shower in game, I was like "woah! that much ?". Because of that I believe many girls had their storylines cutted or shortened. With all that said; I give the last season a 7/10 but the saga as whole 8.5/10.
