Her black hair with subtle purple and blue shading is beautiful, especially the framing strands of hair laying atop her horns. Her horns themselves are gorgeous in their own right, the red highlight at the point of either horn makes her shine yet more. Her halo is red, just as vibrant as her eyes. The sharp points in her halo, balanced out with the gentle curves in between make for a beautiful halo that needs not be flashy to be gorgeous. On her regular outfit, her twin tails make her look so cute, and make me want to protect her with my life. Her clothes resemble that of a maid, with the white highlights on the black dress. Her outfit is as beautiful as it is useful, a perfect length that makes her always ready to make tasty meals for Gehenna. She wears a yellow bandana on her head, evidence of her care and professionalism in the kitchen; furthermore it is adorable. Her yellow tie matches with her bandana, with a red tie head that makes her main colors shine even more. Finally, she wears a giant red ribbon on her back; it not only makes her dress more suited for kitchen work, but it also is extremely adorable. On the new years she wears a kimono that leaves me jaw dropped. Her hair is put up into a bun, covered in flowers. Her hair is stylized in a way that highlights the beauty of her face, and makes her look even more like an angel. Her fur neck collar gives her a mature look, which further amplifies her wife-look that she has with her kimono. Truly whenever the new year arrives, I want to fully declare to her over and over again, “I love you, Fuuka”. In her casual dress style, she lets her hair down. The beauty of her hair is left to shine as brightly as the sun, and her white and blue dress makes her even more adorable. I wish nothing more than to arrive home after a long day of work to see Fuuka– my wife, dressed in her casual wear welcoming me home. Her necklace with a heart symbol makes my heart flutter, it makes me want to give her all the love she deserves. Her white hat is so big, so fluffy! I want to hug her that much more. Fuuka is truly the most beautiful being of Kivotos, she is the shining star of my world. Fuuka is an angel, who lives among the chaos of Gehenna, yet brings to it joy and care. Fuuka does not simply make food for the need to eat, yet instead she puts her max effort into even the largest of meals. Every meal that she blesses by making is made with care and passion for the meal. In the new years, she fought tooth and nail against Kaizer, not with her fist, but with her sheer passion for cooking. She demonstrated to Kivotos that the quality of a meal stands miles atop the quick and easy methods used by the corporations for efficiency. Fuuka is a kind soul that blesses kivotos every day, and the shining angel of Gehenna. Jokes aside, Blue Archive is one of the best gacha games out there. Gameplay Loop — One of the things I enjoy most is how low-maintenance the daily grind is. You can log in, do your dailies, and log out in about 15 minutes — not counting raids or story content. The game respects your time, which is rare in this genre. At the same time, Blue Archive is more of a slow-paced game overall. Progression takes a while, and reaching max level isn’t something you’ll hit quickly. I’ve been playing since before the Steam release, and even after four months, I’m still not max level. It’s definitely built as a long-term experience, not something you rush through. Story & Writing — The main selling point of Blue Archive is its strong combination of charming aesthetics, a wide cast of unique characters, and surprisingly well-written stories. It’s not just cute characters — there are funny moments, emotional scenes, and even serious parts that hit hard. If you enjoy visual novels, you’ll probably like these too. The writing is solid, and many of the characters are easy to get attached to. Gameplay — The gameplay is pretty hit or miss — you’ll either really enjoy it or it won’t be your thing at all. Personally, it’s the weakest part of the game for me, but that’s a subjective take. That said, the core mechanics are fairly straightforward. Combat is tactical and color-based: each student has attack and defense attributes, and matching your students' attack color to an enemy’s defense type deals more damage. There’s also an environmental system that affects how well your students perform in different stage — but that’s something you’ll naturally pick up as you play. I’m not at max level yet and haven’t tackled the hardest content, so I won’t go too deep into the mechanics. Still, the basics are easy to understand starting out. While the gameplay doesn’t really click with me, I can see how others might enjoy the strategic side of it. Community & “Controversy” — The community has a reputation for being full of degenerates, but most of the time, the majority are just meme-ing about it. It’s mostly harmless, and you don’t have to engage with that side of the community if you don’t want to. The game is single-player, and interaction with others is completely optional. Club and friend features are just gameplay mechanics, mainly used for borrowing units. Gacha System — Out of all the gacha games I’ve played, Blue Archive is by far the most generous. You can earn like 250k+ Pyroxenes (premium currency) just by doing missions and reading the stories — which is, by the way, a lot. As a completely F2P player, I’ve managed to get all the meta units I needed, along with the characters I personally like. 8/10 — Game gave me waifus, tactical missions, and a permanent spot on a government watchlist.

Blue Archive is an unmatched, genre-defining, awe-inspiring, life-changing, and revolutionary masterpiece of our time. No other game has made me buy 100+ doujinshis of it like Blue Archive has. 10/10 Game of the Millenium 😭😭😭
