Only Civs I played are 5 and 6, just to mention.
I love 5. It was great! Specially exploring the whole thing. I kind of enjoyed the snowballing of my first game. Then the second was oddly identical. And the 3rd was... just the same. If I didn't win as domination it could be the space program. Still, religious games were non existent, it was useless. Culture also. I was just going for the military unites and that's it. Politics was bare bones as well. It was a great game, but big as an ocean and shallow as a puddle.
Civ6 I approached being very careful, watched reviews and so on. Didn't like the art much initially (now i love it btw). But then I started playing and it turned out so FUN!
I can see that there are many more viable options to approach a game, I love the religious part of the game! I like that the improvements take tiles, I see my city and I don't snowball out of control. I can just play different nations in different stiles much much more flexible and with more thrill behin the game.
Graphics are different- yes, but I like them, it is fresh and new.
Music is very different for each nation and seems that never it never managed to annoy me.
Gameplay can be diverse with the different styles!
The DLCs are great overall.
I recommend the game, on a promotion :) too high of a price on a base value. If you see it on above 70% (with all the expansions!!!) just grab it. You will not regret it.
People all complaining about the new EULA like Google and Facebook don't collect way more information. Like you have to realize at this point your info isn't your's and realize that they only use the information to get a marketing demographic of what works and what doesn't. It's a fun game and takes way more strategy than Civ 5. Highly recommend.
