Loved Hollow Knight. Waited 2 years for
Silksong, and disapointed. Game is great, but the pogo jump is too hard. So after only a few levels i am stuck. Not able to enjoy this marvelous game, because they made one element unplayable. What a shame
Silksong continues the amazing game series that started with Hollow Knight. Although more difficult in certain areas, the game gives you the tools to deal with most of them.
Prevelant mob arenas are a little frustrating at times, and difficult runbacks that leave you barely scratching by before the boss are the game's biggest lowpoints, but where the game shines, it's radiant.
Silksong finishes as a beautiful story and world that feels personal and loving. With the protagonist having a personality, albeit stoic and strong, you can't help but feel her plight to try and save another fallen kingdom.
The platforming is great, the soundtrack is good and at times amazing and when the dance of a tough boss finally clicks (Lace/Widow/Dancers to name a few) it feels o so satisfying.
Pick this one up, but start with Hollow Knight first because you do not want to miss out.
Great game and a truly worthy sequal to hollow knight. Lots of interesting secrets, upgrades and movement abilities. Runs really smooth and looks amazing! The sound design is also great. Love the little things you can interact with on the ground and background, like hitting some chains or the moss moving. Really immerses you into the world.
Didn't really mind the "most things do 2 damage" part apart from touching an enemy, espescially when it is staggered.
Reason for negative review is the corpse run to last judge. They even made a place perfect for a bench and I bet at some stage in the developement there even was a bench.
