The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
---------------------------------------
A Love Letter to Fans
Man, I don’t even know where to start. Oblivion Remastered is everything I hoped for and more. It’s like Bethesda reached into my teenage memories, cleaned 'em up, and handed them back with a wink. The glow-up is real Cyrodiil looks STUNNING now. The forests are actually dense, the lighting is beautiful, and the world just feels alive again.
But the best part? They didn’t mess with the heart of the game. It’s still 100% Oblivion just better. You’ve got that janky charm, the classic voice lines, NPCs who rotate like they’re on roller skates, and of course... “STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM!” still lives rent free in my head.
The UI is actually usable now, too. No more fighting the menus just to find a health potion. It’s all way cleaner and modern without taking away the old school vibe. Combat feels more responsive, spells feel powerful, and sneaking around actually works like you'd want it to.
And can we talk about the story again? From the moment the Emperor dies in that sewer, you know you’re in for something epic. The Oblivion Gates opening all across Tamriel, the deadlands full of Daedra, the whole race to find Martin Septim and save the empire it’s still one of my favorite RPG plots ever. It’s got stakes, mystery, and that perfect Elder Scrolls balance of chaos and heroism.
Characters still slap, too. Lucien Lachance is creepy and cool as ever. Sheogorath? Absolute chaos gremlin. And shoutout to the random villagers who’ll still say “Hello!” while you’re holding a severed Daedra heart.
The Elder Scrolls series means a lot to me, man. Skyrim was great, Morrowind was deep, but Oblivion was magic. It hit that sweet spot between old-school RPG and big open world exploration. I grew up with this game. So seeing it remastered, polished up, and reintroduced to a new generation is just... awesome.
If you’ve never played it, do it now. If you have? Boot it up. It’s calling you home.
Let’s return to Cyrodiil together, enjoy !!!

I would recommend this game because Oblivion is awesome.
Sadly eventho i meet the system requirements and did a full clean reinstall of windows and all the latest driver updates, debloats and tweaks, i just cannot run this game with playable normal fps.
Maybe i'll get it on PS5 if i see that it is better optimized there.
