I don't like the game. I'm addicted and can't stop. My friends keep saying lg (last game) and it's already 3 am. I don't know what to do with my life. Please help me.. I'm the victim here.
The game with points and all is becoming really killer sided. No normal games anymore. They should change that system first, with facecamp, tunnel off hook and slug. And no the counter perks aren't the same, you can use those once while the killer keeps tunneling camping and slugging
Would only recommend it either for people I hate or people who play only once in a while and will therefore barely notice all the negative aspects of this game:
- the community is beyond atrocious, a lot of people in the community will insult people whenever they don't get their way and will equally cry to the devs to make changes to the game to make the game easier for them rather than getting better and will resort to applying pressure through a mob mentality of flooding the steam forums with negative reviews whenever they don't get what they want, and flood every form of media with negative information about the game until they get what they want. And this toxicity by no means stays limited to this game, but spoils over to other asymmetrical games where people from this community try and put pressure on the developers of other asymmetrical games to make it as bad as this game. Whatever decent person you find among the community, you should treasure it, because it's a very exceptional and rare occurance.
- the balance is even worse to the point that playing survivor is just beyond boring because of how easy it is unless your teammates are just brand new and killer is just massively frustrating whenever the survivors know what they are doing, so it's only fun playing with your friends because of the social interaction, not because of the game.
- the developers are bad, who make promises they never keep, will lie to your face, repeatedly insult the skill of one side of the game while repeatedly insulting the intelligence of the other. And equally take no personal responsibility for any of their own actions, but always resort to deflecting it back onto the playerbase itself.
- The gameplay is beyond boring and repetative. If you came looking for a horror game of one fearsome killer taking on 4 survivors you came to the wrong place. Instead it's exceptionally repetative and boring gameplay where as a survivor all you do is hold m1 on a generator or when you've been found by the killer all you do is run around in circles and throw pallets on the killer's face with not much counterplay. And as the killer, you just get bullied unless the survivors are bad. It's on them to make the mistakes and it's on you as a killer to capitalize on them. If they don't make mistakes that are big enough for you to be able to capitalize on, you don't get kills and it's that simple. So instead of it being 1 killer vs 4 survivors it's one high school nerd in a "spooky" halloween custome taking on 4 bullies with super powers.
- There is no change in the meta or anything. After more than 3 years the gameplay nor the meta has changed in any significant way. It's always been nothing but running around in circles for killers and adding holding m1 to that for survivors.
- The content of many abilities are just not suitable for a game that is supposed to be in the "horror" genre. The tools that survivors have are beyond ridiculous where for every single situation a survivor could be in they have a get out of jail freecard they can equip in their perk slots. Which completely ruins all the immersion of the game, because no matter what situation you are in there's a guaranteed way out of it. That's on top of the fact that every single pallet on a map is effectively a safezone until the pallet has been dropped.
- Issues don't get fixed, they only get bandaid fixes. So whatever is wrong with this game is never going to get fixed, instead people will repeatedly get bandaids in the form of flawed mechanics or perks you have to purchase through paid DLC content so you can "deal" with a specific issue. And unfortunately you don't have enough perkslots to equip all of the bandaids required to deal with all of the issues. Therefore you'll always necessarily be stuck with a set of issues and you just have to choose between which 4 issues (at most) you want to insufficiently get addressed and which remaining issues you won't be able to address at all.
- Quantity over quality. Ultimately the devs care more about what the loudest, most unreasonable, selfish and malicious majority want, because the developers care more about making money than providing quality content. Hence constantly pushing for new paid DLC's instead of fixing and changing up the game in any meaningful fashion.
So overall avoid it at all cost, there are better asymmetrical games out there with developers who are actually passionate about their games and care about improving the quality of said games.
As a result of all this you have a large community of a bunch of entitled sociopaths with an overinflated ego that doesn't in any way shape or form match their actual accomplishments and a group of developers who in turn feed that ego which they in turn convert into hard currency and both of these feed eachother and feed off of eachother. Add poor quality content to match the poor quality community and the poor quality developers and that's "Dead By Daylight" in a nutshell.

Deze game heeft slechte hit boxes en mechanics en is een verspilling van tijd.
Voor dezelfde reden is het een geweldig spel
