Awesome game so far, i was this close to refunding it because of the steep learning curve but decided to give it a second chance, and man ohh man am i glad it did.

I am a "new" casual player and just got till mid-game.
I had my doubts about the game, but have really enjoyed it so far.
Until the august patch where they killed the game for new players.
Flour Sand (a basic, very much used material) is now so hard to get that it has completely ruined the fun for me.
I'm sorry to say, but I cannot recommend starting a new game in the state the game is in now.
Despite the many hours i have in the game, the developers goes further and further away from their main selling point of the game. The Deep desert is now only 50% PVP zone, ALL resources are in the PVE zone, so there really is no reason to venture into the PVP zone except for getting unique schematics.
Problem with those is they are being camped by bots staying on chest in loot room and logging out when they get the items. There is no real end game to this game.
If you want a farm simulator in dune universe, the game is probably still good, but for me - its no longer it.
