3 hours in and it's barely let me play or do anything. It's just endless videos and cut-scenes that are relentlessly boring, and in between you do some hunting and fix a wheel on a cart. The character is annoyingly slow and awkward to handle. You're also forced to hold-to-activate the use button everytime you do something. Oh, and the game switches between E and R as a use-button. Open drawer? R. You wanna close it? That's an E. You wanna pick something up? Maybe it's E, maybe it's R - maybe you need to hold both buttons for a year and see what happens.
I cannot believe all the hype this game is getting. It's trash.

Pros:
- Beautiful graphics
- Everything is insanly detailed (animations, world etc)
- Gunplay is fun
- Story is well written and engaging
- 100+ hours of content
- Huge map which also includes entire map from RDR1
Cons:
- Can be slow paced for some people (I personally like it)
- Very demanding on current gen hardware
good game, but autosaving is shit and will fuck you over:
got yourself a prefect pelt or valuables it wont save, but the nanosecond you fuck up something or get fucked by something it instantly saves and you lose your shit.
would be more ok if the manual saving was easy to do, but there is no quicksaving and you have to go through like 3 menus to save manually. just bad design

Red Dead Redemption 2—this is simply a cinematic masterpiece in the world of gaming. Every moment feels like you are part of a living, breathing movie with stunning visuals, incredible storytelling and an unmatched level of detail.
This is the standard which all other games should be measured against. From the immersive world to the complex characters, every feature of this game is a benchmark of what can be achieved in the world of gaming. It is an experience that stays with you long after the credits roll. Unfortunately, few modern projects are willing—or even able—to compete with this level of quality. Games like this remind us of the heights that gaming as an art fomr can achieve, and I hope that other developers take inspiration from it.
That being said, I am eagerly waiting for the next project of Rockstar Games. If it is anything like Red Dead Redemption 2, then we are in for another mind blowing experience. Here's hoping they continue to redefine gaming with their future projects.
