Game is unnecessarily difficult
I expected something like Hollow knight but what i got was pantheon 5 difficulty in just main game
Now ive been stuck at one boss for two days with no hope of progress so i cant finish the game
I honestly can’t get into Hollow Knight: Silksong. The game feels absolutely unplayable, especially with the new diagonal movement system—it’s clunky, unintuitive, and nowhere near as smooth as the original. On top of that, enemies are absurdly overtuned: they kill you in just two hits, while you need six hits to bring them down. It makes combat feel unfair and more frustrating than challenging.
When I first heard Silksong was coming out, I wasn’t exactly hyped. I understand why people were so excited after waiting seven years, but that just wasn’t my case. I actually finished Hollow Knight only two days before Silksong launched, and while I had my struggles, I really enjoyed it overall. That’s why I wanted to give Silksong a shot—but it just isn’t fun for me at all.
Some people will probably say it’s just a skill issue, that I’m a noob who can’t handle platformers. Maybe that’s partly true. But to me, the movement and gameplay simply feel worse than in a seven-year-old game, and that’s really disappointing.
This is it. I am in no way a enjoyer of this kind of games, but Hollow Knight. It just hit different. I am still proud for finishing Path of Pain, beating Mantis and such.
But this game is NOT GREAT. It is not. I don´t care how proud may developers be. Hollow Knight got learning curve. I remember, at the start, how many times I had to dive back into the Well.
This is not it. Its not enjoyable. I don´t wana go back. Its frustrating.
Bosses deals 2 damage even when i bump into them? I misstime parry, get two hearth, got bumped into, and in a second, down to one HP. That is frustrating. Its not rewarding. I didnt had the feeling of acomplisment after defeating some of the bosses. I had feeling of "FINALLY OVER".
The pogo on the red bulbs.. What were you thinking?
Why are you trying to punish loyal gamers? We wanted nice, HARD, enjoyable sequel, story and such. This is fiesta.
I was Hollow at Night. Until this game gave me the ability to sing a song of Silk. I guess you could call it a Silksong.
Also the release day exclusive boss called "The Crashing Store" was kinda hard, but it was worth it.
True ending is absolute cinema. Shame the fight before it is underwhelming in my eyes.
Solid 9/10 Game. Sadly there are few issues that keep it from being a 10/10.
Go around Sinners road for 1 hours to find 1 breakable wall then find bench, go do parkour, fight Groel the Great, die to him, respawn, do parkour again, fight him again, die again and do this over and over for 3 hours straight just to get a bench and dead end after beating him.
I would reccomend this game :D
Every crybaby complaining about Silksong difficulty is the reason why garbage series like Assassin's Creed or Far Cry exist to this day and dominated the market at one point. Stick to your AAA junkyard and don't bother with this game. You're not good enough. This is a masterpiece for true gamers.
More like: hollow knight impossible version. The game expands on combat and challanges, but doues not bring anything new regarding art style or sound track. Almost feels like the developers dont want casual players, such as myself, to enjoy the game. But in the end, hollow knight is still hollow knight...
