DONT BUY. Melee is completely fucking useless I had to farm endlessly as a melee character to beat the second boss, I farmed til I was level 50 while he is like a level 20. Meanwhile mages are one shotting bosses. This game is just beyond awful. If you play a melee character you will die endlessly, as every boss and miniboss and strong normal mobs have aoe attack with tracing! Oh and also 80%+ are faster than you. Not to mention theres both input delay and input que take when you dodge roll for instance so the roll happens 0.5 sec later (great design in a reflex game, real genius) and regarding input delay you will die many a time due to your character deciding to do a command 2 commands ago.
Also this games design is just awful, damn awful. Lets compare this awful game to some of my favorite games like take dota 2, (the real hardest game in the world not filled with BS mechanics) and diablo 2. In dota 2 all heroes are free and everyone is at equal footing since everyone can pick everyone. This means that even though you might die to another hero you can just spam that hero from now on and realise his strengths and weaknesses after 10-100 games.
In diablo 2 theres this frustrating mechanic called hit recovery. What it does is it stunlocks you if damage taken exceeds 12% of max life. Now it can be very annoying getting stun locked to death, but this leads me to my point: in diablo 2 the enemys ALSO HAS HIT RECOVERY. IN OTHER WORDS ITS AN EVEN PLAYING FIELD. I CAN STUNLOCK THEM TO DEATH ALSO LEADING ME TO NOT GET MAD IF I GET STUN LOCKED TO DEATH COMPLETELY UNLIKE ELDEN RING, WHERE BOSSES HAVE ENDLESS STAMINA (unlike the melee characters who can only do 4 hits, or atleast samurai can only do that the character im playing..). Enemys also often 2 or 3 shot me while I have put the last 30 levels into damage through dexterity and gotten ONE damage point per level. ONE.
Don't buy this game unless you really enjoy the following:
- No storyline
- Running around with no sense of direction
- No clear explanation on skills, items, spells etc.
- Having to pick up your exp everytime you die in a game where you constantly die
- Having to go through trash over and over again to practice bosses that require you to try them over and over again
- Running around in darkness
- A terrible world map
- Unstable and buggy mechanics
However, if you do enjoy those things, then this is definitely the game for you!
I bought this game but initially refunded it, as it caused me more stress than enjoyment.
But being told again and again by friends, that I barely scratched the surface I have then decided to give it another go and buy it again
This game might have caused me mental damage, tons of suffering, made me rage, almost made me have to buy a new monitor, bought a new controller, kept me from my family and made me skip school a few times but its fun
Elden Ring verden er ganske vist udestående,
en i modsætning til andre spil i nyere tid,
føles intet hjørne af dette kort nogensinde tomt eller kedeligt,
niveaudesignet er lysår foran de fleste open world-spil,
dette spil er svært, sværere end folk der ikke kender til udvikleren
ville forvente af et spil af denne genre, spillet holder ikke din hånd eller
strøer dit kort med snesevis af quest-markører on interessepunkter.
Elden Ring giver dig mulighed for at gå, hvorhen du vil hen,
en hvis du går ind i et område som du ikke "skal" endnu,
så vil du blive straffet, du vil enten naturligt mod de områder
der passer til dit niveau,
eller du vil stige til strafbesværet og blive passende belønnet
for din beslutsomhed.
Elden Ring får ægte udforskning til at føles givende,
hvert område føles givende,
discovery er et element der er svært at finde,
i hvert fald har den betydelige hemmeligheder skjult næsten overalt.
Jeg foreslår, at du lærer og spiller.
Du vil elske dette spil.
