First and most importantly, I played through the game and I really enjoyed it.
Let’s start with some positive things.
The gameplay loop is fun and engaging; all of the items and challenges, as well as boss fights, are easy to understand, and there aren’t any moments where you question what you even have to do. I also enjoyed the difficulty. The game is definitely on the harder side, but that’s fine -it makes it even more satisfying when you finally manage to beat a Shard that took you a lot of attempts. Graphics and visuals are also a strong point. I really enjoyed the character designs and their dialogue illustrations. The same thing applies to the levels and obstacles -they fit nicely into the world and definitely have a great look.Let’s continue with some things I have mixed feelings about.
First of all, level generation. Most of the time, it’s fair and flowy. But maybe one out of ten levels falls out of that pattern -some obstacles and gaps just seem oddly placed and are therefore extremely hard to pass, which cost me more than one run. The music… almost everywhere it was good or even great, except for the boss fights. Jumper and Snake have such an odd theme -I really didn’t enjoy it. But that’s just my opinion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (And the credits song? -that was a total banger). Another thing I don’t hate but also don’t exactly enjoy are the unlockable character abilities. At least for me, all of them just don’t stand a chance in terms of strength compared to the Messenger’s Board. Some thoughts about the story.
I actually think it was rather fitting. At the beginning, it was hard to understand and follow. At some points, it was also a bit cringey :D, but in the end, I actually kind of enjoyed it. Especially the last few words between the characters were cute, and the ending felt like a meaningful event for them. The bosses? in my opinion, the biggest weak point of the game (except for the last one).
All of them felt a bit too hard (now that I think about it again convoy was okay). I was rushing through the stages only to crash into them like a wall, at least difficulty-wise. Some of their attacks just felt too hard to dodge, and a death often didn’t feel really deserved. Especially the snake boss in Stage 9 made me go insane ┗|`O′|┛-the stupid rockets that follow the player are just annoying. Same with the waves that the Jumper sends out -way too hard to properly evade. The boss I really liked was the final one. It was a really cool concept to let the world fall apart the further you progress in the fight. I also didn’t mind its difficulty -it’s a final fight, so it can be hard. When I finally managed to get that lucky god run with insanely high speed, I was able to beat it, which of course was extremely satisfying. What I hope for in the future:
A better endless mode. Just being able to continue running with your current build is kind of lame (or maybe I did not discover the actual endless mode yet?). I think it should be possible to have an endless Shard where you can stack lots of abilities—so just the normal roguelike experience but with no ending. Furthermore, I would love some sort of sandbox mode where you can try out the items you’ve discovered and create an overpowered build. That would certainly create fun moments. Although I said a few negative things in this review, I still absolutely loved the game and I’m therefore really excited for what’s to come. Would recommend1 votes funny

this game has potetial but it also has repetitive levels and many bugs. I ran into 2 bugs in less than 30 minutes expected more from a game that isnt even in early acess. I think overtime with Community maps this game could get better but for now it sucks

This game is everything the demo presents.
I love it and it runs smooth as butter.
Can't stop playing.
The best part?
I don't have to as you can play multiple levels one after another, no breaks.
AMAZING!
