Dont get me wrong, the game is great. True to Halo fans, True to the xbox series. I played it for 40 hours and i have almost no complaints at all what so ever. Im just personally giving it a thumbs down, due to 1 issue and 1 issue alone. Given its cross platform, naturally. There needs to be an advantage given to controller players to be competitive with mouse and keyboard players. The aim assistance is WAY too strong. Im not a pro streamer, im not someone who plays FPS's for 10 hours a day. Though, after a solid weekend of gaming. My aim gets pretty da*n good. Even at my best, if my cross hair strays and i miss 1-2 bullets out of a 3 round burst with the assault rifle in a 1v1. 9 out of 10 times. i lost the fight. Even the statistics show the average competitive players on controller are 15-20% more accurate than mouse and keyboard. And those statistics are coming from the absolute top of competitive play. Again, cross play is a weird area. Balancing it must be quit a challenge. im not a professional and i can very much recognize whenever i just flat out get bested and out played. which is more often than not. But in a game with VERY linear movement, and no other movement characteristics. The soft aim bot granted to controller players will almost always guarantee a win in a fight over a mouse and keyboard player. So much so to the point you see professional players swapping to a controller. So in turn, it gets INCREDIBLY frustrating to play against people than non-stop kill me because they hit 15 out of 15 bullets and i hit 14 out of 15 simply because they are on controller and im on mouse and keyboard. The game is a true halo game, its awesome in every way. Just please add an option to que with only pc players and vise versa for console.
